Any makeup tips to tone down my fair, reddish skin?

I am very fair with blonde hair and I have very sensitive skin, which tends to become red during the winter months. Anyone know of any way to cover the redness? Thanks for your help.

Well, if its really red, you might want to get some consealer. Of course, to even skin tone, foundation and powder really help too. Get some that match your skin tone when its NOT red. Put the consealer on first, then the foundation, then the powder. There are two types of powder: compacted and loose. I personally perfer the loose powder because it blends much better on your skin, but I believe that with the compacted, you get more for your money. Your choice. Good luck!
Reply:I'm a red head and i have freckles. Be yourself
Reply:i try to avoid sun, use sun tan lotion, light foundation. then start with dark mascara, i like it.
Reply:Use a yellow based foundation. If you really look at foundations you can see that they have a red tone to them. (Hold the bottle by something white)After you apply foundation blend concealer on the remaining problem areas. Stay away from pink eyeshadows, red lipsticks and blushes. That will just bring the red out of your skin. Stick with corals, browns...
Reply:This might sound silly but for reddish skin use a green consealer or apply a small amount of green eyeshadow on you cheeks and blend before apply foundation!!
