Can anybody know on how to cure cracked skin?

According to doctor, my skin is sensitive. I have to wear gloves when I use the detergent. If not, my skin tends to crack.

I also need to apply moisturing cream in order to maintain skin.

Can anybody know on how to cure cracked skin?
I suggest going to a health food store and see what they suggest. Also, you might try taking some fish oil capsules.
Reply:Cornhuskers lotion works really well. Also Mary Kay has a nightime emoillent cream that is great and Kerasal. The Kerasal is for cracked feet but I have used it on my hands. They all work overnight!

Good luck!
Reply:I have used Aveeno skin cream. it's made with oatmeal which is great for very dry skin. try that. it may work for you. good luck.
Reply:the cracking is not a disease and therefore not curable. You can only treat the symptoms of the condition. There are many excellent skin creams and moisturisers available. I find that eucerine cream works best for me but ask your pharmacist to recommend something. The best thing to do is to try out as many different creams and lotions as you can and determine which one or ones work best on your skin. Also drink lots and lots of water to keep your skin moist from the inside out. Shower and bathe in warm water not hot. Use sunscreen with a high SPF rating. Use dove soap or any soap that is not terribly harsh on skin.
Reply:Use Bag Balm (udder balm for cows), it helps protect and restore skin cells. Also works as an antiseptic, and is great during winter months in dry heat conditions. Keep an Aloe Vera plant handy to apply it's juices too and help ease discomfort from the cracking. Cut a leaf off, skin it, and rub the slimy juice inside into your skin before you apply the udder balm. It will also help heal your cells, keep infection away, and encourage new healthy skin cell growth. Okay, it's messy but if you keep doing it you'll have better skin for it, and less sensitive to cleansers.
Reply:Eucerin creme works miracles. It's a little expensive but worth it. Slather it on the area that's dry and cracked , and cover (hands wear gloves, feet wear socks) etc.Do this overnight and you will be amazed at the difference
Reply:Use vaseline or medical grade parrafin. KY jelly is good too. Any drugstore should be able to sell you some.

The idea is to replenish essential skin oils and moisture. Paraffin or KY does it just fine.

Eat / drink cod liver oil, for Omega3. Please use Wiki for searching for Omega3 sources in your area...

And importantly, dont stress about it. Visit a doctor/dermatologist, who will help.
Reply:there is a strong topical steroid for this. it really helps. if its really bad you could get an injection that would calm the skin

You should see a dermatologist. I work at one

by the way the steroid is relatively safe if used correctly
