Does anyone know why the skin tends to itch while and after a brisk walk?
your skin itches when u walk because of circulation. The increase in blood flow explain the itchiness...It's pretty common for beginners. As for trying to lose weight with a sweet tooth try snacking on fruit or low fat yogart theres many options out there in ur local grocery store. Any exercise you do is going to help you lose weight and remember it's not always what you eat it's the activity that you get throughout the day that really counts. and yes i've had a 100 pound sucess by jus walking it took me two years but i did it slow and i've maintained it two years. i i was doing five miles per day and now i'm only doing three because i tone with pilates to!!!
Reply:You release substances called kinins and histamine....a sort of exercise induced allergic reaction. You should get an antihistamine like cetirazine ...take a tablet an hour before exercise then you won't feel the itching. Once your body gets used to exercise the itching will stop.

You can't suppress your sweet tooth. Find lower calorie alternatives to satisfy it. Fruit can be a good substitute.
Reply:Keep up the walks.

Don't wear any make up or creams on your body, as this can be a reason, if your pores are suffocating.

Wear a sun shade, and sunglasses to avoid tensing up your face, as this adds strain and overheating to your face.

Have a cool shower after your walk, and take a cold bottle of water with you to sip.

In time you will lose your taste for sweets, just try savoury biscuits with a lite spread of your choice.

I lost unwanted kilos using this method, and not walking in the heat of the day.

I usually walk early, prior to breakfast, and take water with me to avoid dehydration.

When I am working, I walk in the evening, but never on top of a meal, usually before, and then a shower to freshen up before my evening meal.

This way I have the evening to relax, and feel that I have acheived something
