Why does my skin look unhealthy if i eat healthy?

i exercise daily, drink plenty of water, and eat nutritious meals, but my skin still looks very dull and tired. i also get my eight hours of sleep every night so i doubt that could be an issue. my skin also tends to break out a lot and neither salicylic acid nor benzoyl peroxide have worked (retin-a micro %26amp; differin, neither). what can i do? am i missing certain nutrients? i eat everything from foods with fiber, vegetables, fruits, to jell-o. i usually try avoiding the sun and when i do get out, i wear makeup. could this be it? i've been trying to get atleast 5-10 minutes of sun exposure for the past few days with no help. what else can i do?

It seems to me that Its because you are growing up. Due to this you can have oily skin and have pimples. Its good that you drink plenty of water make sure you wash your face with a mild soap. 3 times a day but make sure you dont overwash your face this may coz whiteheads. It also happens when you use extra hot water for shower. Makeup can also be another thing, if you wear makeup continuaslly it can cause pimples. My best advice is dont wear makeup only when you go to parties. Use mositrizer and power. but not too much of cream.
Reply:It's probably hormonal imbalance or genetic. Sometimes, even if you go through lengths like eating really healthy and getting lots of exercise, you still see no result. Try consulting your OB-GYNE to get to the root of the problem. He or she could give you something to take to normalize your hormones. Keep up with the exercise and eating healthy though, there's nothing like the feeling of feeling good from the inside. Good luck! :)

these are ur probable reasons why u have un healthy skin
Reply:It is most likely because of the skincare products you are using. Most skin care and cosmetics have a mineral oil base. Look at your labels. I found that Arbonne's botanical ingredients brought back the youthful glow to my skin and helped control breakouts. Nothing else had worked so that's why I started my business with this company. Please go to www.celestebenoist.myarbonne.com to look at the quality of the Swiss skin care that really does produce results.

Reply:if you work out a lot then maybe you get acne from sweat or oily skin. some make-up that isnt oil free can also cause break outs. if you want to control breakouts you can go to the dermatologist. also try moisturizing.
Reply:If you smoke, stop.

It might help to exfoliate with a mild exfoliant like is found in Mary Kay Timewise for oily skin or Velocity products, daily. I also sometimes use a Neutragena acne mask that has exfoliating beads in it. Also, this sound counterproductive I know, but you should be mosturizing with a oil-free non-comodogenic product. Acne treatments strip oil from your skin as does washing so mosturizer can help with skin tone. You should also be certain to remove all your make-up before you go to bed.
