I have light brown skin. What are the best colours to use for make-up?

When I wear bright pinks and burning reds, my skin tone tends to look the best.

I've used pale colours for eye shadows and I prefer natural pinks/almost non-existant colours for the lips, preferring to use gloss as I think my lips are a good colour anyway.

When I use lipsticks I usually feel tarty - they look too solid in colour. Deep browns and reds look awful...!

All suggestions and advice would be much appreciated!

Go into any large store which has make up counters (such as Debenhams or House of Fraser) they love people like you who need advice on colour choices. You will probably get a makeover at the same time....have fun :D
Reply:Hmm..hard to say with a picture. I wish yahoo let us use our own pics in here instead of cartoon avatars. My sis is a makeup artist (that's what she calls herself anyway..I say she just works at a beautyshop..hehe) so I'll give her a call when she gets off work tonight and see if she can come on and answer you ;)
Reply:Black is good
Reply:use makeups with a purple or violet hue
Reply:You need to find a Avon Beauty adviser to help you find the correct shade. She can use samples for you to try. The shade the disappears along your jawline is the right shade. You can check out www.avon.com to find an avon beauty adviser in your area.
Reply:Hello Chorna

I wish i had you colour of skin instead of applying fake tan. I would think your best bet is to go to a make-up store and they will try some make-ups on you for free. Then you will know its a safe colour for you
