They aren't greasy pussy spots (sorry to be so graphic, lol) but more like scabs/sores. He cleans his skin very often (not TOO often) but doesnt use alot of skin products as they tend to make his skin worse/he gets allergic reactions. What are these sores?

you did not mention if these sores were itchy ..
Has your friend been tested for things such as scabies or mites?
does he feel biting sensations?
go to morgellons.org and compare symtoms may be something other than that but we do not know any other symptoms good luck
