Dry skin....?

i have really dry skin which tends to crack, especially on my legs, arms, hands, or lips. what can i do so that during this winter i feel better?

Dry skin....?
Use some type of petroleum jelly (it does not have to be Vaseline)after getting out of the bath. This will help keep you from cracking all day. You will feel thick and greasy at first but, it eventually settles into your skin.
Reply:kill yourself
Reply:if youre british try e45 cream, it works wonders on my skin!
Reply:I'd use baby oil as it adds moisture to your skin and i'd avoid powders, etc. Oh and E45 for your face and Vaseline is good for your mouth too.
Reply:i have the same problem..my mother is a dermatologist and constantly she remind me to moisturize my skin with moisturizing creams and chap my lips....u have to do it often though cuz otherwise it won't work...there is also this cream called lyderm and it magic but i suggest u contact ur dermatologist before u do anything
Reply:I would use a moisturizer specifically for dry skin. During the winter I tend to use a heavier moisturizer/skin lotion to keep my skin moisurized and not dry. Also, I like using body butters - lots of moisturizer without feeling sticky. Also drink more water that will help.
Reply:same prob. i put on pound of lotion, but it doesn't help. what u need to do is put on some skin oil. it feels greasy and annoying, but it works. dab offthe extra with tissue so u don't look shiny.

if ur skins REEEEEALY dry, put on some normal lotion over that. oh yeah, and keep some chapstick (burt's bees is expensive, but good) in ur pocket at all times.

if ur a girl, try to avoid shaving cuz it dryies out skin horribly.
Reply:oatmeal baths and lots of lotion.
Reply:Old fashion cocoa butter or shea butter but it has to be raw, not the stuff they sell at the local drug stores, if you want purchase some vitamin e oil and almond oil and mix it into the cocoa or shea butter.
Reply:use baby lotiions ...thats wat ii use and my skiin iis really soft and for your liips ....ok thiis miight sound weiird but once a week grab a toothbrush and wiith regular vaseliine brush your liips and they wont get chapped.
Reply:try baby oil after a bath....pat your skind semi-dry and then apply baby oil...also befor bed apply lotion or body cream.
Reply:vaseline,st ives e
Reply:avon skin so soft
