What all is necessary in your diet to maintain a healthy n glowing skin?

My skin tends to get dull and pigmented in the summers....maybe due to excess oil in my diet...i have stopped oil but what are other healthy methods?

What all is necessary in your diet to maintain a healthy n glowing skin?
I don't think that stopping taking oil is going to improve your skin, it is a vital ingredient to soft, supple skin if you include good oils such as fish and flax seed oils in your diet. Take an omega 3 vitimin daily to not only look after your insides but also your skin, hair and nails. This shouldn't affect your skin enough to make it more oily as such, it will actually help balance your PH levels nicely.

Nuts are also a wonderful way to look after your skin, such as almonds and pumpkin seeds. Sprinkle daily on your cereals or salads or they are a great healthy afternoon snack. Avocados are great for also. Drinking herbal teas insead of coffee for example is also a good way to help keep your skin looking great.

I really believe that to look good you need to take care of what you put INTO your body first. For example I really notice the improvement in my skin when I adopt these simple practices in my daily routine:

-A good night sleep, every night! (its amazing how good my skin looks after a early night compared to a night out on the town!)

-Drink water when thirsty, green tea for a pick up

-5 + FRUIT and 5 + VEGE per day

-ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS

-Apply a nightly face oil, such as rosehip or vitimin E or Almond oil

-use a natural facial scrub to vitalise skin and get rid of dead skin cells, this will help your face breath..

-TIP: Do you have a LUSH natural beauty product store near you? Check out their face tonics and refreshing face sprays that are great to have in your handbag or office to revitalize your skin whenever you get that mid afternoon dullness...Or try and go swimming in the sea as often as possible, salt air and water really great at putting the freshness back into skin.

Hope this helps a little, ciao.
