Why do light skinned Black guys tend to not date interracially?

Why do light skinned black guys tend to not date interracially?Ive noticed that usually its the dark skinned black guys that tend to date interracially.Anybody else notice this trend?

I'm a light-skinned black guy and that's a good question.





You may also notice that light-skinned guys tend to date and/or marry black women with caramel or chocolate complexions. It's not uncommon to see guys like me with a darker-skinned woman.





Not sure why it's like that.
Reply:I've noticed it too, but I really don't think it has anything to do with dating. I'm white, my foundation bottle says I'm a soft-ivory skin color, yet I'll date any type of race as long as the man treats me like I deserve to be treated, and as long as there's love in the relationship.

Usually REALLY DARK blacks are the ones that date interracially, (or ONLY interracially), I think because they have issues with their color...just saying

The only thing I have noticed is that they are more likely if not all to have over weight white women...werid and the thin ones tend to stay with there race.
Reply:I think you might have a point. The only light skinned black guys who date white women are biracial, but I have yet to see a light skinned black guy, whose parents are black, to date outside his race. Down in New Orleans we call light skinned black men the red brothers
Reply:I want more Light skinned black men to date light skinned black women because it's not that many of us light skinned ones here in America.
Reply:It's because SOME have skin color issues. When growing up, if you're too light-skinned, you get teased...so those light-skinned men remember that and tend to deal with dark-skinned women. With light-skinned girls, it's the same thing. With dark-skinned people, they're teased for being too dark and they think people lighter than them are attractive. My father is light-skinned [but mixed] and only dates women darker than him because he had a baby with a light-skinned woman and the baby was almost White. Honestly, I'm the only light-skinned girl I know who dates interracially and it's because skin color isn't an issue to me.
